Terms of Engagement & Safety Protocols

Last Updated: November 2025

At Temple of Eros, we believe that true surrender and exploration can only happen within a container of absolute safety and clarity. The following terms are not just legal formalities; they are the structural agreements that allow our space to exist.

By applying for or attending any event hosted by Temple of Eros, you agree to the following Community Code and Liability Waiver.

I. Community Code of Conduct

Our space is built on the pillars of consent, confidentiality, and conscious presence.

1. The Consent Framework

We operate strictly under the Wheel of Consent model.

  • Explicit Agreement: No touch, play, or energetic interaction occurs without verbal, enthusiastic consent.
  • The Sacred "No": A "No" (or a hesitation) is final, respected immediately, and requires no justification.
  • Self-Responsibility: You are responsible for your own boundaries. If you are in the Receiving or Allowing quadrants, it is your duty to pause or stop the action if your limits are reached.

2. Confidentiality (The Private Space)

  • The Vegas Rule: "Who you see here and what happens here, stays here." You are free to share your own experience, but you may strictly never reveal the identity, specific actions, or presence of another participant.
  • Digital Detox: Photography, video, and audio recording are strictly prohibited in the event space.

3. Sobriety & Consciousness

  • Sober Space: We engage with presence, not escapism. Arriving under the influence of alcohol or non-prescription drugs is grounds for immediate refusal of entry.
  • Natural Highs Only: We utilize breath, movement, and energy to alter our states.

4. Hygiene & Care

  • Cleanliness: Participants must arrive freshly showered.
  • Scent: Please use neutral deodorants and avoid heavy perfumes to respect nervous system sensitivity.
  • Fluid Safety: If your play involves bodily fluids, it must be contained on waterproof barriers (towels/sheets) provided by you or the venue.

II. Assumption of Risk (Facilities & Activities)

Temple of Eros provides a space for Kink, BDSM, and Tantra. These activities carry inherent risks.

1. Suspension & Rigging Facilities

For events offering suspension points (ceiling hooks/hard points):

  • Self-Rigging Only: We provide the fixed points, but we do not provide rigging professionals. You are solely responsible for the safety and integrity of your own ropes, knots, and equipment.
  • Testing: You assume full responsibility for testing any suspension point before applying weight.
  • Liability: Temple of Eros is not liable for falls, nerve damage, or injuries resulting from suspension play or equipment failure.

2. Impact Play Equipment

  • Usage: Equipment such as the St. Andrew's Cross and Spanking Bench are provided for impact play.
  • Marks & Injury: You acknowledge that use of this equipment carries a risk of bruising, skin damage, or physical injury. Use is permitted only within negotiated consent.

3. Jacuzzi & Wet Areas

  • Hygiene Protocol: You must shower thoroughly with soap before entering the Jacuzzi.
  • Prohibited Items: No glass, oils, or bodily fluids are permitted in the water.
  • Risk: You acknowledge the risk of slipping on wet surfaces and the potential for infection inherent in shared water facilities.

4. Psychological Safety

  • Trauma-Informed, Not Therapy: While our facilitators hold a trauma-informed container, we are not a medical or therapeutic facility.
  • Triggers: Somatic and kink practices can trigger past trauma. You agree to take radical responsibility for your own regulation (pausing, grounding, or stepping out) if you feel overwhelmed.

III. Legal Liability & Waiver

By purchasing a ticket or attending, you acknowledge that participation is at your own risk (deltakelse på eget ansvar).

To the fullest extent permitted by Norwegian law, you release Temple of Eros, its organizers, and venue owners from liability for:

  • Personal injury (physical or psychological).
  • Loss or damage to personal property.
  • Any illness or infection acquired at the event.

This waiver applies to inherent risks and ordinary negligence. It does not exclude liability for gross negligence (grov uaktsomhet) or intentional misconduct.

IV. Booking & Cancellation Policy

Because our events are intimate and require gender/energy balancing, our cancellation policy is strict.

  • 14+ Days Before Event: 100% Refund.
  • 14–7 Days Before Event: 50% Refund OR Ticket Transfer to a friend (subject to vetting).
  • Less than 7 Days Before Event: No Refund. You may transfer the ticket to another vetted person.
  • No-Show: No Refund. No Transfer to future events.
  • Organizer Cancellation: If we must cancel the event, you will receive a full refund.

If you have questions regarding these terms or specific safety concerns, please contact us prior to booking.
